Why Choose NEMA Enterprises Alcohol Breath Analyzers?
Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) Limits Across the United States
Across the United States, the legal limit is .08%. If your BAC is above this level, you are presumed intoxicated in every state. However, many states also have other limits in place as well.
Specifically, most places have a “zero tolerance” level that applies to certain drivers. This “zero tolerance” level sets the legal limit much lower for specific people. Usually, it applies to teenage drivers who aren’t supposed to be consuming alcohol anyway. It may also apply to commercial drivers such as bus and truck drivers.
For drivers under 21 years old, the legal limit is lower, with state limits ranging from 0.00 to 0.02%.
The blood alcohol level chart below shows what the BAC limit is in every state — including the legal limit for DUI per offense as well as the zero tolerance limit.
Drink & Drive Facts
Every 39 minutes, one person dies in drunk-driving crashes in the United States. In 2021, 13,384 people died in alcohol-impaired driving traffic deaths — a 14% increase from 2020. At the end of 2020, 26,8% of drivers that were killed or seriously injured in a crash had alcohol in their system.
NHTSA data shows that drivers between the ages of 21-24 account for 27% of all fatal alcohol-impaired crashes, followed closely by 25-34 year olds (25%).
These deaths were all preventable.
Alcohol Breath Analyzer
Instructions for use
The alcohol tube is for measuring alcohol content in the breath. An alcohol content of 0.2 ‰* in blood, corresponds to 0.1 mg/l alcohol in breath. The alcohol content in the blood increases within one hour, calculated from the moment of alcohol consumption. An alcohol content of 0.2‰* in the blood can impair the ability to drive a vehicle, which is an immediate danger to life and health, as well as road safety and road users. The result of this alcohol test cannot be used as evidence, especially in the circumstance of sobriety/non-sobriety after drinking alcohol. The user alone is responsible for the interpretation of the test results. The test results may not be used to question the results of the test conducted by the officials or upon request. The manufacturer accepts no liability if the product is used outside its intended purpose or if the instructions for use are not followed
Components
The alcohol tube consists of a glass tube, an active substance in the form of a reagent, absorbent granules, filters, aluminum foil and two protective caps. Individual components from the alcohol tube may pose a threat to life or health. If used incorrectly, the glass tube may break, cause cuts, and other elements may be swallowed. The used alcohol tube can be disposed of in conventional household waste and does not pose a threat to the environment according to the EU directive. Please do not leave the alcohol tube in a place where it can be taken by an unauthorized person. Keep away from infants and children.
Test procedure
Wait at least 20 minutes after the last alcohol consumption before performing the test!
Press the two protective caps at the end of the tube until the safety seals break with a "click". 2.
Take a deep breath and blow constantly into the end of the tube for 10 seconds. Take a second deep breath and repeat the process. 3.
3. Wait at least two minutes. If the color in the reaction field of the tube changes, it means you are under the influence of alcohol. Compare the color in the reaction field with the scale above it to read your breath alcohol concentration.
After 5 minutes, the result is invalid. The alcohol tube labeled 0.2 ‰* indicates that your blood alcohol concentration should be 0.2 ‰* or higher.
